What is a managed account?

Funds Remain in Your Own Name Such are discretionary managed accounts. This means that the account and funds remain in your name, and with your approval Bulls & Bears activates the automation of trades, based upon a unique trading model, directly Into your account. Your money is deposited with a third party Bank or Broker. We will not accept custody of your funds or securities. We have negotiated competitive spreads on all trades with our counter-parties, so the account is not burdened by excessive dealing costs. All you need to do is open an account at one of the banks or brokerage firms that we work with and grant us a "Limited Power of Attorney". The "Limited Power of Attorney" authorizes our robot software to direct any system trades into that account, but does not authorize us to withdraw funds from your account.

 
What you need to open a managed account?
Required documents:

US Citizens or residents:

• You need to complete and send the brokers application and power of attorney
• No further documentation is required for US citizens or green card holders.

Non US Citizens:

• You need to complete and send the brokers application and power of attorney
• Two forms of identification are required for non-US citizens. A government issued photo ID (i.e. passport or any other government issued document evidencing nationality or residence and bearing a photograph and Proof of address as represented on your application (i.e. utility bill, drivers license, bank statement, etc)
   

How long does it take to open a managed account?

Time to complete the application is about 10 - 15 minutes
Time to process application is about 48 - 72 hours

Is there a minimum deposit requirement?

The minimum required deposit is $1,000, unfortunately our system was not designed to work with smaller accounts.
